Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS)

The Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) was launched by the Department of Medical, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Rajasthan, in 2018. The primary objective of this scheme is to transition from traditional health benefits to a comprehensive health insurance model for state government employees and pensioners. This initiative aims to ensure that all eligible individuals have access to quality healthcare services without facing financial hardships. By providing cashless treatment in various empaneled hospitals, the RGHS seeks to improve the overall health and well-being of its beneficiaries.

The RGHS offers a health insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh per family per year. This amount can be utilized for hospitalization, surgeries, and other medical treatments in network hospitals. The scheme covers various medical expenses, including pre and post-hospitalization costs, daycare procedures, and even domiciliary treatment in certain cases. Additionally, it provides coverage for critical illnesses as specified in the policy. Eligibility for the RGHS is straightforward. It is applicable to all government employees and pensioners of the Rajasthan government.
